New OSWOA - "Zelda's Winter"

  • Mood:
I have new original fantasy OSWOA (Original Small Works of Art) completed and up for bid on ebay.
Ebay Listing is here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200274206335
Done in color pencil and irridescent acrylic. The scan truly does not pick up the true colors nor the irridescent acrylics in this piece.
Done for a winter challenge. My daughter gave me the idea for the title - reminded her of Zelda from the nintendo game Zelda .

Update on Virus

  • Mood:
Well after 2 days of trying to figure out where this virus was on my website, my host finally was able to get rid of it and all is well again with my site. My site was definitely hacked into and Norton displayed it as a "HTTP Fake Scan Webpage" virus and the source was coming from 91.208.0.234.  Which I later found out, is/was a Russian site, that  tries to infect visitors with win-antivir-2008 which is a rogue application. It is considered to be a  malware/virus and is downloaded without the knowledge of the user/site visitor. So basically, it is a drive-by download program that is automatically downloaded to your computer without your consent or even your knowledge. All of this can happen just by simply visiting a legitimate web site or viewing an HTML e-mail message that has been infected. There are many sites carrying this malicious malware that have been been hijacked and the site owner doesn't even have a clue that there site has been hijacked. Thank goodness for Google and them notifying me at once about it.
I learned a lot from this, especially how important it is to not have words for passwords but a jumble of letters and numbers. Forget about the simplicity of being able to remember the password. It is better than having my site hyjacked into. Also be especially careful of these malware/viruses, it is becoming a growing problem all over the net.

Web Virus!

  • Mood:
Well, I was just notified today by Google that my website has a virus on it's main page and ecard page. So I am in the process of trying to find the culprit and find out how someone was able to hack in. Just want to say sorry to all my viewers.

First Entry!

  • Mood:
  • Watching: Click the movie
Well, this my very first entry in my new blog.
Here I will be posting works in progress, latest updates, current news, art resources etc.
So for my latest news. I have just completed my first color pencil kit of a barn kitten. It will be for intermediate level and teaching the techniques of impressed line and using your eraser as tool, in creating fur. I should have the kit ready to go at the end of this month. I am just now in the process of typing up the lesson.
